For a couple of months I’ve been saying that I have equal chances of being fired, promoted, or keeping the same job title. (See previous doom-and-gloom posts regarding workworkwork, balance with a series of really good performance reviews.) DJ thinks I am a work-pessimist. Maybe he thinks I’m a general-pessimist, but we’ve been married less than six months. Some criticism waits for a paper anniversary.
But I think I might be getting that promotion. Next Friday I’ll know. Will I be forced into work-optimism?
p.s. Now I have three bosses. Or four. Careful what you wish for.

I love the picture. Maybe congratulations on the maybe promotion. But my condolences on the multiple bosses. Been there, done that. Unless your bosses are the Dalai Lama, Mother Teresa and Buddha himself it will be challenging.
